Can someone Please explain to me WHY we have separate Political Parties?!?! And then on top of that, the Government forces you to "Pick a Side", well that is if you want to vote. Why? Aren't we ALL Americans? Can't I just vote for who I BELIEVE will be the best canidate w/o declaring which "Party" I belong too?
In my opinion, having different Political Parties opens the door wide open for personnel agendas, corruption, & the like. It DIVIDES the American people rather then UNITING us together for what is best for America & her citizens. George Washington, the undisputed best President in our countries history, warned against this exact thing in his Farewell speech. Want proof of the division? Watch MSNBC and with in a half hour (probably won't even take that long) you will hear at least once "The Republicans hate Americans", "The Republicans....", "All the Democrats want to do is help Americans". WTF!!!! Why do these Democrat media shows say such mean and VERY dishonest comments? Now, you will hear some of the same from the Republican news channels, but at least from the shows I've watched, it is much less frequent & hate filled. Why the Separation? Why the Division? Don't we all want what is best for the U.S.A.? For some reason and at some point in time we have lost or forgotten what "United we Stand, Divided we FALL" means. I plan on blogging more on this subject but for now, it's beddy by time!
Heather, I'd love to talk with yo more on this. But for now, I'll just remind you that you CAN vote for who you'd like without declaring a party. Some states do require that you belong to a party to vote in a primary, but some have "open" primaries. Regardless, you may vote for whoever you want in the general election.
